Sure, bandanas might look ridiculous on Bret Michaels, but if you actually style them the right way, they’re so freakin’ cute! Plus, they’re the perfect spring and summer accessory. They’ll keep the hair off your neck and give the perfect pop of color to an otherwise simple ensemble. Plus, they’re just so darn chic. Here’s five easy and fun ways to style them. (p.s. you can also use a light scarf!)
Pinup Style
How-to:
- First put your hair in a messy bun.
- Then fold the bandana (or scarf) into a triangle and keep folding until about 3" wide.
- Place the center on the nape of your neck and tie to a knot on top of your head.
- Tuck ends under. Pin with a few hairclips for an all-day hold.
Rocker Chic

Hippie Girl
How-to:
First put your hair in a messy bun or give it that wavy look with the beach spray. Wearing your hair down with this style looks better with longer strands, and if your hair is on the short side, try wearing it pinned up! Then simply wildly wrap the scarf around your head. This is supposed to be a casual look, so the messier, the better.
